Getting in as a Promoter

There is no follower requirement for Promoter. What we check is that you have actually played here and have not been in trouble.

On Icefuse specifically. You are making videos about our servers, so play on them first.

A clean record

An active ban or a long punishment history will fail your application.

Weekly Content

One video per week featuring our servers. Post the same clip to TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels as a single entry, or submit one long-form YouTube video on its own. Content Creators are exempt.

Quality Standards

Clips people actually watch to the end, recorded at decent quality. Lazy footage and PvP montages with no hook get denied.

Community Focused

Be around. Reply to comments, talk in Discord, play with people.

Ranks

Promoter and Content Creator

Everyone starts as a Promoter and stays one by posting every week. Content Creator is where that leads: the same perks, except you stop having to post to keep them.

The entry rank, no following required

  • Post one video a week to stay active
  • Creator kit and creator rank in game
  • Extra shop points for time played
  • Every approved submission earns XP
  • Miss a week and your in-game perks pause until you post again

Content Creator

Earn it, or qualify on following

  • No weekly video required. The perks are yours for good
  • Everything a Promoter gets, permanently
  • Never put on hold for going quiet
  • Earned by hitting level 100 as a Promoter
  • Or apply for it directly if you already meet the follower minimums below
Approved submissions earn XP, and XP moves you up levels. Level 1 gets you the kit and your creator code. Level 25 adds the extra earnings for time played. At 50 you start getting corvcoins per submission, 75 pays a lump sum, and 100 makes you a Content Creator. We can also hand someone Content Creator directly. That stops the weekly requirement but leaves your level where it is.
How To Apply

Pick the rank you are applying for

Promoter if you are starting out. You need 200 hours in Rust, 50 hours on our servers, and a clean record. Content Creator if you already meet one of the platform minimums above. Everyone else earns Content Creator by levelling up as a Promoter.

Join our Discord

Join the Icefuse Networks Discord at discord.gg/icefuse and open an application in the apply channel, the same place staff applications go.

Answer the bot

Start an application in the apply channel and our bot will DM you a set of questions. Have your Steam profile and your channel links ready, plus your follower and average-view counts if you are going for Content Creator directly. We review applications weekly and you'll get a Discord message about yours within a week.

Common questions

  • How long does the application process take?Usually within a week. You'll get a Discord message either way.
  • How do I join?Both ranks are applied for in our Discord, in the apply channel, the same place staff applications go. Promoter needs 200 hours in Rust, 50 hours on our servers, and a clean record, with no follower requirement. Content Creator can be applied for directly if you meet one of the platform minimums, or earned by reaching level 100 as a Promoter.
  • Do I need a following to join?Not for Promoter. There is no follower or subscriber minimum. The platform minimums only matter if you want to skip straight to Content Creator.
  • What if I don't meet all the requirements?We still encourage you to apply. We consider applications on a case-by-case basis and look at overall content quality and potential, not just metrics.
  • What kind of giveaways can I host?Upon approval from network directors, you can host giveaways for your audience that include store credits, temporary ranks, and other in-game perks. The value and frequency of giveaways will be determined based on your content reach and engagement.
  • Can I make content for other communities too?You can play on other servers and put that in your videos. What you cannot do is be a creator for another community: no creator or partner role somewhere else, and no making content on their behalf. If you are representing another network, apply there instead.
  • How often do I need to post?One submission per week, every week. Submitting several in one week does not bank credit for the next. Weeks run Monday to Monday (UTC).
  • What counts as one submission?One video. Make a single clip and post that same clip to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. All three links are required and get reviewed together as one entry. Do not bundle three different clips into one submission; file those separately.
  • Can I submit a long-form YouTube video?Yes. A long-form video can be submitted on its own, without the other platforms, and it counts toward your weekly quota. It does not earn any additional incentive over a short-form submission.
  • Is there a full list of the rules?Yes. The Submission Policy covers what counts as one video, accepted formats, the quality bar, weekly cadence, review and denials, inactivity, and representation. Every creator agrees to it before submitting.
  • What gets a submission denied?Effort, mostly. We are not expecting a masterpiece every week. Put something in the clip worth watching, keep the capture quality reasonable, and you will be fine. What gets denied is footage with nothing going on in it.
  • What happens if I miss a week?Your in-game creator perks pause until you submit again. You keep your level, your rank, and your place in the program. Submitting a new video restores everything within a minute. Pending videos count toward the quota, so you are never penalised for waiting on review.
  • How do creator levels work?Every approved submission earns 25 XP, short-form or long-form. Level 1 unlocks your in-game kit and affiliate code, level 25 adds bonus in-game earnings for time played, level 50 pays corvcoin on every approved submission, level 75 grants a large one-time corvcoin bonus, and level 100 makes you a Content Creator, with no activity requirement and perks for life.
  • What if a submission is denied?You'll get the reason on your dashboard and can edit and resubmit the same entry. A resubmission goes back into the review queue and counts toward the week it was originally filed for.
  • How often is the program status reviewed?Activity is checked automatically every week. Beyond that, creator status is reviewed quarterly, and we'll provide feedback and support to help you maintain your status.
